Hey Everyone,
I'm sure you've heard the news about the Travis Barker/ DJ AM plane crash. As our prayers remain with Travis and Adam, we remember our friend Charles "Che" Still who was one of the four who passed away in the accident.
I went to high school with Che, knew him and hung out with him through mutual friends, and hadn't seen him since this past February at the Famous party in Las Vegas, where he made sure our crew got in as swift as you can say poof. Che and Nick grew up together; all of us knew the same people. Che couldn't have been a nicer guy, always willing to help anyone, even people he didn't know. As far as Travis, being that we're involved in the same business and from the same area, we've gotten to know him and his people, and have nothing but respect for him and what he's done in the community and abroad. Here's to a speedy recovery for you and AM.
We had our first Mason Jar cycling ride last night (which was such a surprising success) that I'll recap either later today or on Monday- I think this was a bit more important. But you know, it really didn't hit us until later in the ride when we realized he was one of the four who didn't make it. Sometimes things are hidden in between the lines with celebrity names, that we tend to forget there are other people, other families involved. One of those families just happened to hit closer to home, which is very unfortunate and leaves me with not much more to say except for our sincere, sincere condolences to Che's family, and to everyone else who has been affected by this tragedy. If you're religious say a prayer, if you're not keep these people in mind- and most of all, cherish what you've got right now.
You never know what might happen.
RIP, Che. You'll be missed dearly.
