Big Bellies and Giving Trees

How's everyone's bellies? Here's a video I took of myself after last year's Thanksgiving. Maybe you can relate.

Need a way to shed off those extra pounds? I've got an idea..

So last week, Natalie and I were running errands and happened to stop by Wal-Mart. Hidden behind the wall of Wall-E's was a Christmas Giving Tree, full of gift requests by senior citizens.

Why this isn't closer to the front, I've got no clue.

I picked Peggy's, while Nat picked Chesters.

We noticed Lavern getting a few more ornaments than others. There were two more at the back of the tree.

The saddest part was that we were the first ones donating.

If you've got some extra money lying around, why don't you walk/bike/run (you know you need to) on over to your local Wal-Mart and keep our elderly warm. Who else will tell us stories about walking 30 miles from one city to the next in rain and snow?

Give Thanks! It's Thanksgiving!

Happy Day, and Happy Thanksgiving! What are you guys having for supper tonight? Turkey? Tofurkey? No turkey at all? Either way, I'm jealous of you all; I wish I could be home. Thanksgiving is my all-time favorite holiday of the year. If someone can bottle up that Thanksgiving smell for me in a mason jar, I'd be eternally grateful.

Can't wait to get some leftovers for me.

What Are You Thankful For?

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, so take a minute and think about what you're most thankful for.

Just do it. Reflect.

Do You Know Why I Hate...

...those new frozen yogurt places that are sprawling up everywhere?

It's because one minute, you see an opening when nobody is in line (they're normally packed), making it the perfect time to go in because no self-respecting man would ever be caught dead in there.

The next minute (while your trying to eat your frozen yogurt as fast as you can so nobody sees you there), the entire cast of High School Musical enters, and surrounds you in what you thought was your secluded corner booth.

Why is it always theater kids?! Why?!!! WHYYYYYYYY!!!!!?!?!!

Hand Sanitzer Kills 99.9% of Germs

Usually pretty good numbers, but would you be really risk that .01% to use on this dildo we found at a pawn shop?

Honestly, who sells that at a pawn shop? Or better yet- who was pawning it?

Mini Argentina Update 11/23

Hey Everyone,

Made it to Buenos Aires safely. Can´t do too much right now, because the computer connection here is sub 56K level.

A few highlights..

-Saw the Andes Mountains from my plane when I landed in Chile. Amazing.
-Met with the rest of the TOMS team and everyone is great. We bonded together rather quickly. Our leads, Pepe and Santiago are more than you could ask for.
-TOMS Office in Buenos Aires is so rad; there are pictures and thank you notes from all the schools we´ve done shoe drops in.
-Stray dogs everywhere. Wish I would have gotten that rabies vaccine.
-Food is epic, wine is even more epic-er. Had dinner last night with the most delicious steak and wine and everything else. It´s pretty cool when a restaurant like the one we ate at last night can be so happening at 1, 2am in the morning. (was that just redundant? 2am in the morning?)
-In general, Argentinians are BEAUTIFUL.

Alright gotta get out of here. First shoe drop is today in Buenos Aires. Wish us luck and safety.

I'm Being Bussed?

I guess this bus is taking us to Chile.

Settled With This

Saw art by Barry McGee on the cover; figured it would be good.

I'll let you know.

Looking For Some Air Reading

Do I dare?

Time To Kill

Bored. Too much time 'til I board. Bored. Board.

See Ya Soon!

I leave for the Land of the Gauchos today, and I want to thank all of you for your unwavering support! Wish me luck, and keep me in your prayers.

I'll probably be busy during my stay, so don't expect any updates from Argentina until December 1st or later.

HOWEVER- I do have some surprises for you...

There are scheduled posts that will automatically be posting while I'm away, so there are no excuses for you to not check out The Bear Den during that time.

So, off I go. I'll see you all soon.

Best as always,

Send me your mailing addresses.

Mason Jar Premiere/Benefit: RECAP! PART 2

For Part 1 of this post, click here.

Everyday People

Most of you who know us know that we love competition for our promos. Here are a few pictures from the stuff we made people do for some free stuff.

First of which was a hyphy dance contest- with only Joemm participating. Weird thing is that he lost. Against himself.

Next was a dance-off between Tony and Bryan, even though they knew they weren't going to get anything.

That followed with a Rock Paper Scissor fight.

Which preceded our now famous push up battle royale.

And even a trackstand competition.

What better way to end a contest than with a Moonwalk battle. Taylor = champion.

Drew-bee, wearing the t-shirt we were giving away.

Towards the end of the night, things got a little, well, rowdy.

The fuzz showed up, and handed us with one of these.

Then we had Bryan the Minor take all the people who had bikes out for a ride to appease the po-leeece.

And then just as the 5-0 left, wouldn't you know it, the sprinklers came on. Here we are frantically trying to get the DJ equipment out of harm's way.

Check out the death stare on Nat's face. It's actually more like half death, half determination. And no, Tony's not just socializing- he's blocking a sprinkler with his foot to minimize wetness.

Three things about any party that we throw..

One. It's not official until three Mexican guys get together and do a pose with at least one of them crouching.

Two. It's not official until somebody brings a ridiculously expensive camera to document the whole thing.

And Three. It's not official unless you make fun of Jon B. in any way possible. This time, we wallowed in the sweet joy of his broken, beloved iPhone.

Anybody else thing he looks like the kid from the last Mr. Bean movie?

All in all, it was such an amazing night. Different people from different backgrounds came together for one evening to celebrate charity. Meg (and everyone else) from TOMS Shoes puts it best..

There is this an African philosophy which is "Ubuntu" - it essentially means a person is a person through other persons, or "I am because we are".

I can't think of a better way to describe our night.

I'd like to thank all of our sponsors for all the generosity they've shown. Big thanks goes out to TOMS Shoes, Active Ride Shop, Carlton Hair, Foe Athletics, Soulful Commandoe, Chubby Boob Clothing, Alan Thomas, Sleeping Giant, Amelia at Disney, Glen Ivy Hot Springs, Toy Machine, and anyone else I've forgotten. You guys really are the glue that holds us together. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I think I can speak on behalf of everyone at TMJ that you really made our night extra special. LOVE!

Another big thanks goes to all the people who helped us Sunday night- most of you on a whim. Thanks to Sarah P., Adriana, Tom Schwarz, Jenny, Jen With One N, Amelia (again), Marta Thompson, Markie Sandoval, Nick May, Joe B., Gabe FBC, Jacky and Taylor, Ace Boogs (just for being so sexy), Candice V., and especially to Yovana Guzman who helped us out with the location and so much more. It's hard to put into words all the work you've done. You're family now.

And finally, for myself, I'd like to thank my team.

Bryan, Danny, Natalie, and Tony: you guys are so awesome. It's been a long time coming, and I appreciate every single minute that I spend with you guys- work and play it's been an honor. If I had a child, I'd name it Bryannynatonely. Bryannynatone for short. Love you guys.

Best as always,

Boo Yeah!
