This past Saturday was our first bicycle ride around lowly and quiet Corona, CA. To my surprise, the turnout was amazing. Met lots of fun, new people who all shared the same enthusiasm for bicycles that we here at The Mason Jar have. A big thank you to all of our co-sponsors: Johnny Pedals at The Pedal Smith Bike Shop, Soulful Commandoe, Chubby Boob, and Alan Thomas Apparel. I think it's safe to say that everyone had a great time, and we look forward to the next ride which is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 8th.
Here's a recap if you missed it...
Pre-ride, curb-hangin'.
Our friend Phil from SD showed up because I said I'd kill him if he didn't ride. He didn't, but he met me halfway and at least saw us off.
The hardware.
Pre-game warmup, with a sermon by the team chaplain.
On your marks...get set...
GO!
Tom, aka Alan Thomas, aka THE GODFATHER.
First stop, Starbucks at Dos Lagos. Check out the simultaneous hair check from Ace and Mary.
Bikes of different colors, races, religions, and makes were in attendance.
Do you have a Soulful Commandoe x New Era cap yet?
JP wishes he did. It would keep his head warm.
Taking 5.
Mary once caught a fish thisssss bigggggg.
And then we're off.
The Godfather herding the pack.
While the B(eard) leads the way like Moses with the Jews.
A view from the pace car.
Stop 2: In-N-Out. Some of the pack opted for a heartier a meal at Denny's, instead.
Heavy Hitters.
Vespa Shitters.
Survey Says: A total consumption of about four cows.
Nick, getting his Big Sexy on.
And then back to Starbucks off Ontario. Raffle time!
Natters, although bike-less, caught us in time for a bite and the subsequent raffle. Always the worker, Nat The Nails is.
It's Gabe Time.
Or is it Tony Time?
Amelia, also bike-less, showed her support by starting the ride with a checkered flag.
Joemm x Bella x Stickers.
Minus the dudes that went to Denny's.
Such a mellow group, it was impossible not to have a great time. We can't wait for the next one, so stay tuned for news here or on iefixed.com. And if you haven't yet, add us on MySpace, at myspace.com/masonjarclothing.
This ride was dedicated to our good friend Che Still who passed away in last Saturday's plane crash. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We'll miss you always. RIP, Che.
