Mason Jar Premiere/Benefit: RECAP! PART 1

If you missed it, I really feel awful for you because it was definitely one of the highlights of the year. You know those outdoor fairs you see on television- the ones with globe string lights and whiffs of popcorn in the air? Well that's exactly the mood that we had over at the Corona Heritage Park.

The only thing missing were creepy looking carnies.

How can you not donate when these two are asking?

Part of the night was to benefit our friend Jason Semple, and we printed shirts with 100% of the proceeds going to him as he gets back on his feet.

Jacky and Taylor sold the Semple tees- and had an impromptu kissing booth after hours.

Most of the tees were housed in this gazebo...

..with Bryan manning the post.

Bryan's brother Graham was trying to sell me the beauty of the Argentinian woman- as if I needed any more convincing.

We had Danny at the BBQ/food/drink helm, along with...

Sarah; the MVP of the night. Totally understaffed, we had misjudged how many people would be there, and how many of us would work. Luckily Sarah stepped in and took care of business. Sarah- you.are.the.best.period.

Boo Yeah! Look at everything we had to raffle! I'd say there was a 50% chance that you'd at least walk out with something.

What was in the box you wonder? Well briefly, we had two tickets to Disneyland, two day tickets to Glen Ive Hot Springs, five pairs of TOMS Shoes, a Sleeping Giant gift pack (CD and shirt), a Foe Athletics gift pack (sweater and shirts), an Active Ride Shop Mens Pack (shirts, New Era hat and socks), an Active Ride Shop Girls pack (shirts), a Toy Machine skateboard, Bumble and Bumble hair products, haircuts from Carlton Hair Salon (three haircuts), Soulful Commandoe pack (tons of shirts and sweaters), Chubby Boob gear (shirts and sweaters), and Alan Thomas gear. I know I'm forgetting stuff- but c'mon, what a haul! You'd be crazy not to buy a ticket!

Remember that show Touched By An Angel? Well if you don't, by the end of every episode the main characters (who were angels) would reveal themselves as such, and a bright light would cast their faces. Every picture of Yovie that I took looked like that.

She really does!

Mini-story time. When Jenny (on the left) was helping Amelia frost the cupcakes, she was licking the rest of the frosting off the spatula. When I glanced over quickly, I totally thought she was eating one of these.

All that frosting paid off, too.

Now it's time for the people who make us who we are.

OK, since I don't want any of your computers to crash, I'm going to have to seperate this post. Come back later today for Part 2!
