Disneyland: Emerging Gang Problem? You Decide.

So I went to Disneyland the other day looking for what everyone else goes there for: a release from gang violence.

Unfortunately, Disneyland is no shelter to this thug life we livin'.

I kept running into this kid who wasn't only throwing up sets, but hollering at little old ladies to, and I quote, "move dey raggedy ass 'fo day get shot uppp."

Here he is puffing his chest out at that poor lady.

"Darren, do you want the frozen lemonade or the ice cream sandwich?" - Darren's mom

"Lemme get dat cotton candy. - Darren

Suffice it to say, it was pretty dangerous taking these pictures. I should have worn one of these.

The Cheese and I were feeling extra tough after dealing with Darren The Blood. And what else do you do when you're feeling harder than a hard boiled egg?

You get tatted, son.

In the heat of things, we forgot how to play checkers. Halfway through this attempted game we realized that we were using the wrong squares, and didn't have enough pieces.

I'm guessing this was Darren's favorite part of Disneyland- not because of the movie, but because it reminded him of his homie Nemo locked up in Chino Juvenile.

What better way to end such an impetuous day than to watch the sunset on top of a parking structure?

"Out on bail, fresh outta jail, California dreamin'," we murmur to ourselves.

"Soon as we stepped on the scene, we're hearing hoochies screamin'."

Oh, and here's the answer to last week's music question.

Chris K.- you're the winner! Expect your shirt before the end of next week. Here are the other results...

2.) Dan B. (texted me literally 3 minutes after I saw Chris' response)
3.) Nolan
4.) Laurie
5.) Dillan
6.) Amelia
7.) Joey Knuckles (even though you were 3246246736875637 hours late)

Pretty awesome that you guys figured that one out. I got some weird guesses from some of you that I'll keep to myself to prevent certain embarassment.

Here's an easy one. The first five people to finish this (call/text/reply to the bottom) gets one of my most prized possessions from Cleveland, that I just so happen to have a surplus of.

Lurking at Disneyland

Is probably one of my top ten favorite things to do. Where else can you find this amount of randomness in one day?

Vegas post is done, just waiting on a few Paris-y pictures. Look for it tomorrow, I promise.

Also, if you've wondering what movie to take your best girl or guy to, take them to see Hamlet 2. If you're easily offended, see it anyway. You'll thank me/hate me/love me later.

Here's a brief clip from song Rock Me, Sexy Jesus.

It's Only 7:20 AM, and I'm Already P.O.'ed

It's Friday, people.

Usually it's a time for us to celebrate the end of the week. New movies are out, your ex-girlfriends best friends dad's neighbors' party, Seth and Ed's Puppet Show- there's a lot of stuff to look forward to this weekend.

Today is a little bit different.

It's delayed. 'Til next year. And I'm pretty ruddy pissed.

Warner Bros. is moving the November 17th release date to July 2009 because, according to this Yahoo! News article,
The move was made to take advantage of an open weekend in Hollywood's busy summer season, said Alan Horn, Warner Bros. president and chief operating officer. The film had been on schedule, and the change was not due to any production snags, he said.

That ruins plans for me, because I was planning on having a costume required Dinner at Hogwarts social before the film. Personally, I enjoy watching this franchise during the holiday season; it's a bit odd watching snow fall when I'm watching a movie in the summer.

So, the weekend of November 17th has now opened up for me. I guess I could just have that Urban Outfitters/Hipster party. You know, the one where you have to go with at least 12 pieces of flair, arrive with at least three friends, talk stink about "friends" across the hall when they're not looking, have a devil-may-care attitude, bring a twelvie of Pabst, and talk about the latest vinyl-find at Amoeba. You know, the one you had to dig reaaaaally deep for.

Or I could just sit and sulk about not being able to watch Hermio- I mean, Harry Potter.

Oh, and in other news, Disney's screwed its employees once again. If you were in Anaheim yesterday, you may have been caught in a bit of traffic.

Thank God It's Friday!

Tacky Tourist Day

On Sunday we got a group together to dress in our best Tacky Tourist attire. We got looks somewhere in between, "I get it, but I don't get it," and "I wonder how they all know each other."

Totally not planned, but the guys ended up wearing cutoff shirts.

It was cool that Goofy got the Tacky Tourist memo.

People weren't sure if Bryan worked at this wood mill or not.

'Da shaka for all you braddahs.

Even the animals were giving us looks.

8 people in the swinging ferris wheel- not a good move. Lovin' the death look from Mitch though.

If you're gonna spew, spew into this.

Our best try at the billboards.

Dreamweaver and her sisters going for the Photomakers pose.

Zombies?

Yeah, these were the looks we were getting.

Quote of the day:

"Your beard's like a Brita, man."
-Nick, liking Bryan's beard to a water filter that sifts out harmful creepy crawlies.

Next theme, The Jerk European Look. Who's in?
