A Message From the Counter Counterfeit Commission

A couple of years ago, there was a direct response television ad that ran on a few networks. Maybe you saw it.

If you didn't, or can't remember it- here's the video.

Being the opportunists (and MINI Cooper owners/enthusiasts) that we were, I urged Bryan to purchase the DVD. Undoubtedly the order was placed, and a few weeks later we were trained Counterfeit Mini Spotters.

Now what a lot of people don't know is that we did our homework, and spotted Counterfeit MINI's virtually everywhere we went.

Armed with the following...

...we were able to sharpen our senses.

From Auto Trader....(click to enlarge)

...to eBay auctions, we realized Counterfeit Coopers were everywhere.

This is why on behalf of myself, Bryan, and the rest of the Counter Counterfeit Commission, we invite you to a screening of the sold out informative video that started it all. Contact bryan@masonjarclothing.com if you'd like to join or for more details.

With your help, we can avoid eyesores like these...

Submitted For Your Approval..

Two videos.

One of which involves the assault of an otherwise unsuspecting victim; minding his own business and taking a nap. Armed with a can of Silly String, a young assailant is bribed by the victims friend with an offer he simply couldn't refuse- comedic relief.

The second of the two videos follows the pursuit of two young men following every young man's dream- finishing a pizookie in less than two minutes. Are the powers of Bryan and Paul's incredible imagination strong enough, and bright enough, to withstand the evil forces that invade their dreams?

You are about to find out.

For we now invite you to join Bryan, Paul, and experience THE BEAR DEN -- a blog beyond your wildest imagination.

New Year's Eve / The Rose Parade Blog

[WARNING: PICTURE HEAVY!!]

Just hours after leaving this party...

...it was driving on the 210 to Pasadena to get a good spot for the Rose Parade.

Freezing.

Still Freezing.

I dozed off for a second and, for a moment, thought I was in some sort of alternate bizarro 2009.

Penny Farthings?

Baby police officers?

Absurdly, implausible, incontheivable, preposterous lines to the potty?

Signs in the sky?

Am I in the 90's?

And then I realized that all was fine. I'm just crazy Joe Paterno.

Check out this truck with bleachers built into the bed. Genious!

Amelia scoping out the parade route.

You know it's official when this thing flies overhead....

...and when the 9/11 conspiracy theorists march down the parade route. Ladies and gentlemen, we're ready for a parade!

Here are some assorted pictures of the parade.

Was secretly hoping this was a Rick Roll.

My running horse count.

I guess you've got automatic parade credentials if you've won medals at the Olympics...

...or if you've had sex in multiple cities.

By the way, I hate how most of my pictures (because of my vantage point) are sponsored by Vons. I hate Vons.

The Hellen Keller float, sponsored by Vons.

Can somebody tell the USC Trojan that Birkenstocks were cool about 15 years ago?

USC Marching Band- edgy because they wear sunglasses.

The real Sex in the City girls.

Over the course of the parade there were several people I had in mind while taking photographs. Listed below are the people I thought of when I took the picture.

Joemm.

Bryan.

Paul.

Joemm.

Tony.

Tony.

Tony.

Tony.

Tony.

Fourbro.

Fourbro.

Darren Sproles.

Nick. (Christensen)

Paul.

Yovanica, Natalie, Jen, Amelia, Candice, Larv, and everyone else who watched this episode.

Gotti.

My right calf.

Peter Griffin.

Ace.

Anna Gropp.

Danny B.

Ok. Done with the picture associations. Back to the parade.

Sesame Street!

Bob! One of the four original cast members!

Boo yeah!

All of a sudden I couldn't understand why there was such a deafening roar...

...and then I got it.

Sweetest band helmets ever.

HB.

Burbank.

And then, all of a sudden I hear The Hustle playing.

For a minute I didn't even realize whose float it was until I saw this familiar face blowing me a kiss...

Highest. Dorothty. Ever. Even Toto's baked.

He was yelling out, "Free candy!"

Death Picture Number One- more crowded than that 80's band.

Final count? 199 horses. Boo yeah.

Death Picture Number 2- stacked parking equals freak out.

My final thoughts? It probably would have been better watching this at home. Maybe that's why I haven't been here since I was 7.

Hope everyone's New Year rang in well, and I wish everyone a very prosperous 2009!
